I could not help but smile at this comment made by Lord Norman Tebbit because it is clear evidence that Nick Clegg and the Liberal Democrats are making a huge impact across the whole political spectrum.

With Vince Cable leaving the Chancellor and the Tory Shadow in his wake before, during and after the financial disaster and now this endorsement of Nick Clegg as a leader who can grasp reality, it is clear the Lib Dems can look forward to the General Election with confidence that they can offer voters REAL change.

This is good news for residents and voters in Esher and Walton because in this seat there is a real choice of who we will elect to represent us as at Westminster.

Our PPC Lionel Blackman is an excellent candidate who represents everything the Liberal Democrats believe in and with the long serving Ian Taylor (who I think was once described as the most "Liberal" Tory MP in Westminster) standing down there is a wonderful opportunity to elect someone who wants REAL change.

Change of course is not always the easiest thing to embrace. People have natural fears about the "unknown" but this time I do not think change will be so difficult a decision.

Can we really afford not to change the whole culture at Westminster? Do we really believe the "money men" who have so much influence over the government and the Tories anymore? Have Labour anything new to offer? Have the Tories any real policies other than tax breaks for the wealthy and bringing back fox hunting?

It is the Lib Dem concept of REAL FAIRNESS in our lives whether it's a fair tax system, opportunities for all, quality education for everyone, care and help for those who need it, encouraging not demonising young people and above all HOPE for the generations of the future that makes me want to embrace change.

I hope it makes you want to as well - there is a choice
